The only question now is who's going to be number three?
Yvonne De Carlo died of natural causes Monday at the age of 84. The report says she passed at the Motion Picture & Television facility in suburban Los Angeles? Must be pretty nice when stars have their own special hospital even years after they haven't done anything in
television and/or film.
Most everyone I know will always remember her as Lily Munster in "The Munsters" which ran from 1964-1966. I think when I was a shortie, we were exposed to both "The Munsters" and "The Addams Family" at around the same time in syndication so I don't know which truly came first. I was always partial to "The Addams Family". The only thing I ever really liked about "The Munsters" was Fred Gwynne and I really didn't get into him until his later years when he starred in hits such as "My Cousin Vinny".
What I didn't know about De Carlo is she also played Moses' wife in "The Ten Commandments". Now I'll have to watch that movie yet again to see how she was back in her prime. Nevertheless, rest in peace, Mrs. Munster.
