Okay CNN...I guess I can forgive you in just this one instance. I have gone on record as saying they are going overboard with all of their video stories. Then they go and give us this latest gem about one of our friend from the 80s that we all thought had been long gone: that good ol' Loch Ness monster.
There was a time back when we were shorties when there were all kinds of myths going on about monsters among us. There was the abominable snowman, although I don't recall seeing any mock photos of him/her. Of course there was Bigfoot who had that infamous video of him posing for the camera while walking that has been since been proved a hoax. And because the chaps across the pond (in this case, Scotland, not England) didn't want to be left out, we got the Loch Ness monster.
There were some pretty good photos and amateur video that gave flimsy evidence that such a thing existed and as with everything else 80s, the myth more or less faded away. Well we are living in a world where retro is in so of course she made a comeback thanks to some amateur video.
You can check out the full video on just about any news link or probably even YouTube. All 24 seconds of it. Now I'm no film expert or nautical genius but to me, it seems like it would be too easy to forge something like that. A tiny submarine maybe? A remote control one possibly? Whatever it is, I think it would be safe to assume it's still not authentic. Nevertheless, I'll give the "amateur" photog who shot it props for reviving one of our beloved 80s fables for another generation to now enjoy.
