Dad had been doing something on his Facebook status for a while now that has become quite the hook. Every morning he would update his status with his own inspirational quote. Unlike some folks out there that bite from famous people, Dad was using quotes that were his very own. It was a different variation of what I'm doing. Just as I update my blog every day with my own personal thoughts, he was giving a status update with his...
The job you do will only be important to you if you fail to share your story. Help someone by sharing what you know
Everyone doesn't want what you have. Nor do they have what you want.
Just to mention a few of my favorites.
I am confident that Dad will someday compile all of them into a book format to share with the masses. Then expand that to becoming a motivational speaker at various engagements around the country. Dad's already laying the groundwork for an even brighter future by beating me to the punch with something I have been toying with for awhile: a logo. It seems like something so elementary, but there's still the matter of making it happen to give your idea even more life. That's exactly what Dad did. But it's even more than that. He took it to the next level by having that logo available on just about every type of marketing tool you can think of: t-shirts, buttons, mugs, calendars, wall clocks, even underwear. I am still trying to find the right design to brand my site. I have the vision in my mind and where I want to go with it. Just haven't been able to have it conceptualized yet. I've got a couple of resources I can tap to make it happen so we'll see how it turns out. Seeing Dad bring his idea to fruition has lit a bigger fire under me to step my game up. Once again, Dad has proved to be an inspirational mentor whose accomplishments further assert him as the ideal role model. I can see it so I will achieve it!
Now think on that!
